Contract Associate Scientist – Translational Immunology

We are looking for a motivated Contract Associate Scientist to join our Translational Immunology/Immuno-Oncology group to provide key mechanistic, pre-clinical and translational support for Cue Biopharma’s growing pipeline. The Contract Associate Scientist will be part of the company’s TCR Core, a team dedicated to generating and performing key studies with T Cell Receptors – TCR-transduced human cell lines and primary human T cells. This is a temporary contract position that could last up to six (6) months.
- Planning, executing and analyzing in vitro/ex vivo studies using primary human immune cells (from healthy donors and patients).
- Isolation, lentiviral transduction and culture of primary human and non-human PBMCs and immune cell subsets.
- Expansion, selection and long-term maintenance of T cell clones/lines.
- Immunophenotyping using multicolor flow cytometry staining.
- Conduct experiments, accurately document and effectively communicate data with project team, colleagues and manager.
- Contribute collaboratively to team efforts to achieve experimental and organizational goals.
- B.S. in a relevant field with 2-4 years of related laboratory experience. Or M.S. in a relevant field with 0-2 years of related laboratory experience. Hands-on industry experience executing and documenting in vitro biology studies is preferred. Preference for experience with working with primary human immune cells.
- Experience with multiple transfection/transduction methodologies to generate transient and stably transfected cell lines and primary cells; multicolor flow cytometry, FACS-based immunophenotyping; cellular immunology in vitro assays is highly desirable.
- Scientifically rigorous, highly organized, and displays significant attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Team and goal-oriented scientist with excellent oral and written communication skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced, small-company environment.
